This morning we drove to New Palts to pick Sab up from college. She is home for the weekend, and she is cute.
After that me and Jen went to the mall and she spent a ridiculous amount of money on perfume and hand bags.
Tonight was the first football game. We won 33 to 29.
I was hangin around with Meghan + Kristen and we saw our class advisor- Ms. Hanlon. She asked us if we wanted to walk around and collect Hurricane Relief money to donate to the Red Cross. I jumped right on that chance. I was the first to donate..and then we went on our way.
I, of course, have no problem getting money out of people - because we raised $186.01 in 30 minutes. Ms. Hanlon went around and collected more too! We basically have over $200. IN A NIGHT. I think that is so amazing. We'll have the box at lunch too! DONATE!
Meghan and Kristen were so cute with their efforts- I just got all up in peoples grills to get them to donate. I don't see how anyone could say no, but quite a few people did.
I'm satisfied with our work. I see that $200 as 200 bottles of water. Thats a hell of a lot more than no water at all.
I'm really not feeling this though:
“My son needs clothes,” said Bronwynne Bassier, 23, clutching several trash bags. “I don’t have anything.”
“I understand that,” Bush said. He kissed both women on their heads and walked with his arms around them, telling them they could get help from the Salvation Army. “Hang in there,” he said.
- He couldnt donate a few of his- what 887455642- suits? Or even the shirt off his back?
He claims he didn't "understand the extent of the damage" until he saw it in person. I mean, thats good- I must totally be imagining all the homeless, dirty, hungry, people + babies I've been seeing on TV...So I shouldn't even bother. RIGHT?
This isnt a 'gotta see it to believe it' situation, George.
