i went to iowa for my birthday
the weekend after my birthday, right after i turned into a heinous bitch at work for like 5 minutes, i hopped on the plane to des moines. came home to a house with a for sale sign, put my stuff down and felt pretty good. this is pretty much what it looked like. i can't lie. i love it.
at any rate, i had a fantastic birthday. my boyfriend was excellent in his gift procurement as were my friends and family. i felt overall very loved, and decided that from now on, birthdays will no longer be a big deal. after a combined total of 25 Septembers, I think i'm done with the production. if someone wants to do something nice for me, i will love it no matter. i'm done asking people to do things. we'll see what happens for 26.
then i came back, after a few tears, to my bed and my life. it was a nice return. i missed greg. i missed walking. and now it's time to pay the rent check. i came back with a few goodies, which is always so nice. i love getting treats like a good little girl (which for the record i am).
greg's graduation party was saturday, and it went very well. we had a good weekend together. plus, he took me to starbucks with his gift card. don't think i don't remember that stuff, gregory! :)
now it's back to work and only government-sanctioned holidays from now on. getting the ball rolling for thanksgiving, which is exciting! i love me some turkey and wine. not looking forward to the ice on the sidewalks, but the pros of fall (even late fall) far outweigh the cons, so i'll leave it at that and head to sleepy wonderland.
