rambles shambles
1) i got a new/old roommate and a new cat. she's making my eyes a little itchy, but i love having a creature around. even though she looks at me with her judging eyes (ruby, the cat, not erica). it's fun having a really good friend around and i'm excited for the kitchen to be settled...and the living room....and the hallway.... :)
2) i really can't wait to visit my parents in iowa in a few weeks. i have day dreams of me in the car with my parents driving through parking lots, going to the cheesecake factory--having the most boring, WONDERFUL time ever. mom's currently getting some health issues checked out and i've been a bit on the emotional side about it. i'm sure every thing's fine, but damns, sometimes it's scary.
3) my brrrrHday is in 1.5 weeks, which is pretty exciting. i already ordered a pair of new boots for myself, so i'm well on my way to celebrating. 25 is an odd number. i don't even know if i'm doing anything. might cave and buy yo la tengo tickets for the night after. we'll see. my birthday list includes: yarn, macarons (the fancy french cookie kind), earrings, and straight cash.
4) all my weekends in september are booked. this is pretty exciting, but also seems VERY exhausting.
5) i miss anthony. work can get really boring without your work husband, especially when you know he is where he really wants to be more than anywhere else and you're just at work. (i also misspelled something sent to about 40,000 people today...)
