I live here. And I have a name, poppet. It's Sakuya.

[Medicine peers in the background. She looks back at Sakuya awkwardly.]

Well, I have a name, too. I'm not "Little Doll," I'm "Medicine."

Oh, I remember you. Trying to poison everyone during the flower incident, wasn't it? So ironic that your name would be 'Medicine'...

My old owner named me after the Ray Bradbury book, hmmph.

[A beat.]

Well, you're all lucky. I'm out.

Your 'owner'? What a funny way to put it, but I suppose it makes sense for a little doll.

[And there's a smug look.]

I see. Then we've nothing to worry about from you, unless you decide to go down to the post office and demand it back.

Do you know nothing about tsukumogami? [Ughhhh.] I'm a free bird now! So it doesn't matter anyways. [Said...very...dramatically.]

Post Office?

Objects that become youkai after they've been abandoned by their old owners and left to collect dust, of course. But no, I suppose it doesn't matter.

[A light sigh.]

The postman will give your things back, but the price is steep - an eye, an arm, other vital organs...I don't recommend it.

W-What?! Why...why would they take things like that? That's completely barbaric!

It is. I don't know why the town chooses to do such things...the only other way to get one's things back is to wait until after the town does something terrible.

Either way. Are you sure you haven't seen Suu-san?

I'm positive, poppet, but I'll keep an eye out. In the meantime, have you spoken to Miss Alice about her?

Alice? You mean that really spazzy blonde lady?

Yeah, she was one of my first stops. She was kinda creepy, though. She asked if she could study me.
