Idina Menzel
Idena Menzel was born on May 30th, 1971. At a young age, she took vocal lessons while other kids her age were out
having fun lives. She was in a band that played at weddings and bar mitzvas. After high school Idina went to New York
University and hold a bachelor of the fine arts in drama. And on January 11, 2003 she married her husband Taye Diggs.Right now they have no children, but they have one dog named Sammy Davis Jr. (so original)
In 1998 her first solo album, Still I Can't Be Still, was released and ever since then she has involved in music and theatre.
Idena has been in broadway shows such as Rent Wicked, The Vagina Monologues, The Wild Party, Hair, and Summer of '42 and has started in movies such as the movie version of RENT(2005). And minor rolls in the movies, The toll booth(2004), Kissing Jessica Stein(2001), Water(2004), Just A Kiss(2002), Ask The Dusk(2006) and a movie that is now in progross of filming, Enchanted, which is due to come out sometime in November.
She has made apperances on shows such as Grounded For Life, abd Desperate House Wives.
Out of everything Idina has done in her career, The two things she is probably best known for are her Tony winning roles as Alphaba in Wicked and her Tony-nominated role as Maureen in Rent, which was based off of a Puccini's, La Boheme.
Recently Idina has stared in an off broadway show called See What I Wanna See. and in 1998 she performed at the summer concert, Lilith Fair. Idina Menzel continues to write and perform her orignal music in venues throughout New York City.
