Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky
This is a much storied JRPG. It started on the PSP and recently became available on Vita by way of PSN. The end of the game is near legendary for leaving off at a cliffhanger, which wouldn't be so significant if it hadn't been released in 2004, over a decade ago. Only a few months ago was the sequel finally announced, to the relief of gamers who have been aching to finish the story for so long.
I have played the game for roughly 16 hours, which is not half long enough to get through the game, but more than long enough to determine I will never finish it, and will not be playing it anymore.
I can't fight the enemies. My playstyle is to save most of my energy/mana/etc for tough fights and bosses, and normal attacks in this game have a 70% miss chance. You can not hurt enemies unless you use your special moves or magic. I am not capable of fighting normal enemy encounters. Therefore there is no point playing. I regret this purchase more than any game I can remember in recent history. I consider it a terrible example of gameplay design and will refer to it only as such in the future.
