Connecticon 2008 (Hitachiin Cosplay)
Okay, so. I went to CTcon, with my friends Joanna and Rachel, mychem-rachel. Rachel was was the Kaoru to my Hikaru (Ouran High School Host Club), literally. We crosplayed as them. As soon as we stepped outside to wait in Pre-Reg and Registered lines we were assaulted with questions for photos as people yelled, "TWINSS!!!" I was embarrassed at first but grew very used to it.
For some reason there was a whole horde of zombies (I'm guessing from a videogame or something.) But despite my/Hikaru's fear of zombies I gave Mr. Zombeh a peace offering, one of my pink flowers. He let me snag a picture with him which was insanely nice of him :D.
Moving on. We got several requests to perform twincest. We didn't quite comply with but we did a rather close hug, they accepted that. We wanted to purchase a yaoi paddle, but oddly enough, they were banned from the con. BUT! We found a group of people that were kind enough to lend theirs to us for a picture XD. (Kaoru/Rachel=Left. Hikaru/Me= right)
There was a Speed Racer who I kept annoying repeatively. I would call out "WE ARE RACER X!!!" As in the Hitachiin twins were Racer X together. I don't know, I blame it on the anime crack XD. I made this Nekozawa take the picture for us.
There was only one more set of Hitachiin Twins there, who we kind of kept bumping into. It was a boy and a girl, but the girl didn't seem to like us all that much (and kept throwing dirty looks to my Kaoru :\...) We followed our adopted host club and took a picture with them. Their Tamaki was hilarious, he called up the Haruhi and warned her to be careful in the parking garage because she might get raped XD;;.
And yes. A Haado Gei man (Hard Gay man) cosplayer was there. If you don't know who that is, search him on youtube right now! Be wary though because some of it is 18+. But from what I've seen he helps people, advertises shops, helps young children get over their hate for eating Naato. He was so nice ;o;! When he saw us afterwards he pat our heads :33.
Rachel and I had people fooled, they thought we were actual twins, or that our hair was real which it was a wig. But a very convincing one :DDD. Oh and last but not least I got tons of beautiful art!!! we got Seme and Uke badges that clipped onto our upper arms. Hikaru (Me) got the seme badge while my Kaoru (<3333) got the Uke badge. Seme= on top, Uke= bottom. My friend, Joanna was holding my Kaoru's Kaoru plushie XD.
Oh we bought them from a Neko-jin vendor at the con and the girl there said she would put us up on her website, here.
