bigbang drama averted
I'm at 16,000 words with two full days left to write. They haven't actually managed to fuck yet but I'm now totally confident that this sucker is getting finished. \o/
Of course, now I'm going to need a beta - I'm not even kidding guys, I didn't have a word written until Wednesday afternoon, I was not expecting to even take part this year - does anybody know of someone who's still free? Or could point me in the right direction? Pretty please.
In all seriousness though, I am so fucking thrilled and proud of myself that I've managed to turn this around. Even if my first draft sucks ass, getting this much story out in 3 days so far is a pretty big accomplishment for me!
ETA: In case anyone actually offers to beta, I should probably mention the following:
1. My comma abuse is sickening. If I'm not sure what do go with grammatically, a comma goes in there. You will probably hate commas and me by the time we're done.
2. You need to be gentle with me if my plot/characterisations need shifting around a bit/a lot. I AM A DELICATE PRINCESS.
3. You're going to have to Ameri-pick the shit out this thing. We're talking extra letters all over the place. I try my hardest but I'm not an expert on the American turn of phrase by any means.
And now no one will offer. Bugger. (See? I'm so BRITISH)
