falling into place

I love the holiday season. Ok, so I hate working in retail during the holiday, and I hate being poor as shit cause I’ve spent too much money on gifts. But I love giving, and I love finding and making things that I just know this person or that would love. If nothing else, I wish I was rich just so that I could give things to other people, to people who need it, to people who don’t, to people I love, and just because.

It snowed the other day. It was so beautiful, snow at night, well snow anytime. But it’s been nasty cold lately. It was funny, the other day during the middle of the day it was windy and icy cold, but by around 8pm, when one would expect for it to only get colder, it actually felt nicer because the wind had died down a bit.

Things seem to really be falling into place. My mom and dad love Jason. The other day while in the car with mom, she told me that Jason was a really nice man, and that she hopes he becomes her son-in-law. I just started laughing, I loved it! The four of us went to the melting pot for mom’s birthday last month... well actually her birthday was last month but because I work, we didn’t actually get a chance to go until the first Friday of December. Jason and I got to dress up in our Christmas outfits; I even got a compliment from a woman in the bathroom, lol.

Earlier that day Jason and I picked up our tickets to the CKY concert this Saturday night. We got tickets for us and for us, and for his brother Steven. I think the 3 of us are going to have a wonderful time at the concert together. Then is x-mas, which I gotten all of the gifts I need, except one for Mary at work (for secret Santa), a b-day gift for dad, and a b-day gift for Jason. I have yet to finish Jason’s one gift, and wrap everyone’s gifts, but that wont take long. Then the Friday after x-mas, I’m go to the Trans Siberian Orchestra with Jason and his family. I’m so excited!

I’ve been making more clothes. I love it. I love sewing, and making one-of-a-kind things. I don’t want to do it for a job because I don’t think what I make is extraordinary, but it’s cool, and it’s mine. I made a halter from an old kite loft shirt, a skirt from an old softball shirt and a National Guard shirt, and a purse from a Donnie Darko shirt. I have about 20 more shirts and ideas of what to do with them! I still have a skirt or two that I had started a month or so ago to finish. One of which I plan to work on once finals are over. Which means prolly a few trips to Wal-Mart for fabric, lol, which means even more broke!

And then I have to start saving and planning for my cousin Cynthia’s wedding and then the Disney trip right after. I have to save money, and I plan on loosing a lot of weight! Mom and I’ve been doing well, but I have to get myself over the stress of school, and out of this season of eating! I have been doing really well though. I don’t over eat, I watch what I eat, I eat a lot healthier, and I’ve been trying to get more active.
