I know I haven't written in a very long while, but I just wanted to write a few words about Jamie Lynn Spears and her pregnancy.
First of all, let's get this story straight. Jamie Lynn is 16 years old, and the father is her 19 year old boyfriend, and she plans on keeping the baby and raising it, as any responsible person would. We all know she's Britney's younger sister who has two children of her own. There, that's done.
Now, I've actually been a fan of Jamie Lynn, I think she's very talented, and a good girl with the situation her family has been in recently. She has handled fame very well for being so so young. I also think that accidents happen, it's not like she planned to get pregnant when she was 16 years old for crying out loud! And I also think that it's very responsible and brave of her to keep the baby. Having an abortion would be copping out. So, good move Jamie Lynn! This does not change my opinion of her in the slightest. It doesn't change her talent or the success she's had so far.
I think that people need to stop bothering her, and just get on with it. Young girls get pregnant every day, just because she is famous it doesn't mean she isn't going through the same things that any other person would. The uncertainty, the hard decisions, the ridicule that anyone else would. She has even MORE of that if anything, so just lay off.
Having a child is one of the best gifts life can give, lets NOT take this away from her, okay!? Sure, she's young, but she's going to have to be prepared, and with so many people around her who care about her, I'm sure that she'll grow up really fast. It IS like a baby having a baby, but she's going to have to grow up and she will because of this.
Holly Marie Combs' mother had her when she was 16, and Holly was the one who pushed her through school, her mother wanted Holly to be able to have a good life, so she did everything she could to make sure that happened. We should all support Jamie Lynn so she will be able to do the same thing for her child.
I have to say, I'm proud and support her completely and her decision to keep the baby. It's gotta be a hard thing to do and she is being very mature about it. She's now 12 weeks along, and shes being responsible about telling the news. She kept it to herself, which is something that should be done at first, before letting the public in.
I dunno, I just thought you guys should know that Jamie is a great person with a true heart and that she is making a good decision in her case and I support her completely. Best of luck Jamie Lynn and have a good holiday.
xx Ellen
