Ninth Treasure

Ah, a half-decent bath and a good meal are definitely the perfect pick-me-up after a month like we've had. Fixes you right up, y'know? Only thing that'd improve it would be a camp full of bandits to punish and treasure to st- um, liberate and circulate back into the economy, of course. Or maybe someone handing over a nice castle ( Read more... )

questions need answering, relaxing, food yay!

It's strange how a simple bar of soap can make even this place bearable.

No kidding. It's not like I've never gone without, but man does a good bath make me feel properly human again. It's a shame there's no hot springs here, that'd improve my mood.

It's a great way to get back into things.

Hot springs?

That and the change of a decent meal.

What, never been to one?

Yes! I never though something simple like fresh food would taste so good.

No, there aren't any where I live. And...well...family trips usually don't work out the way I'd want them to.

No hot springs? That's nearly a crime!

Well there really aren't any dormant heat sources around my city, so it wouldn't make much sense.

Are they really that impressive?

When you're on the road as much as I am? Yes, yes they are. They're better than the baths at some inns, at least.

[Oh a traveler? Interesting...]

You travel a lot? You don't sound that much older then my brother.

Yeah- actually, I've been traveling for years. Er, how old is your brother? [What age am I being mistaken for this time?]

What's your world like? It's not very plausible in my world for a teenager to be walking around like that.

Mmm, he's about fifteen.

Eh, really? It's not too weird where I come from, and I was thirteen when I went off on my own. [... Granted, I had the motivation of my scary sibling telling me to get my arse on the road...]

As for my world- Well, that depends what you mean, really. I mean - it's got cities and countries and what seems to be fairly normal landscape. It's just... got magic, monsters, bandits- er, maybe not so much on the bandits anymore. And good food. And dragons. And dragons as good food, which I will one day get my hands on.

There's not really a lot of magic in my world. Except for some things on television and on stage. It's not real though.

...wait, you eat dragons?

No magic? That seems so weird.

Well, it's a really rare dish, but it can be done. It's usually made with lake dragon, and it's said to be the world's finest cuisine, meant to grace the tongues of royalty. I nearly had it once, but my friends dragged me off before it was ready.

Well if it's something you're used to, it would seem like it. There's not much supernatural stuff around me. [That she'd admit to...]

That doesn't sound fair, well maybe you'll get a chance once you get back. Or even here, weirder things happen.

Ah, that'd be great to have when I get back~! The universe can reward me for all my troubles!
