[Redglare didn't come out of the nightmare worlds unscathed herself--she earned quite a few slash wounds defending the Condesce on the shadow of Alternia, and then "earned" a physical reprimand upon their return to the Tower--but her wounds are mostly concealed by her clothes, and the only sign that she's injured (other than the faint scent of teal that hangs on her) is the relative stiffness of her posture.
She is in the infirmary to fetch some bandages for herself when she noticed her descendant. And what can she do but see what's landed her in the infirmary?]
Terezi, your legs.
[she sounds disapproving, but this feeling is not directed at Terezi herself. rather, it is at the circumstances, whatever they were, that led to all this bandaging.]
[Terezi frowns, burrowing under the blankets. Not that there's any point in hiding her injuries now, but still, this is pretty embarrassing and makes her look really incompetent.]
[Terezi catches that, and honestly it confuses her a bit. Adults aren't supposed to care about wrigglers, but then again, Redglare is her ancestor, so this is a bit different.
Terezi thinks it's awesome in any case.]
I went through that door to help a... Friend.
[They're still friends right SHE IS NOT EVEN SURE.]
[She shakes her head, pushing herself off of the mattress to stand. She does an admirable job of hiding her wince, but it's still there. See, she's strong and capable, too!]
[she has the best descendant and that is all there is to it, any other ancestors who think their descendants are awesome are just wrong.]
I would hate to deprive you of your rest...
[okay no she can't do that, it is too mean for even her. she does let this little pause hang though, just long enough to make Terezi wonder but not enough for her to adequately interject.]

[oh, there is a little concern layered under that disapproval now.]
What happened?

Ah. You were attacked by...denizens of the world on the other side?

These stupid vines got me. But I'll live!
[Annnd because what is tact?]
What happened to you?

I had a similar experience on the other side.
[it's hard being a legislacerator and nobody understands! least of all Her Imperious Condescension.]
You seem to be in considerably worse shape than I, however.

Well. Look at the young legislacerator standing tall.
[nope, she can't hold it back. there goes that grin.]
Try not to exert yourself too badly. The sooner you heal the sooner we can start training together, after all.

When do you think we can start?

[but hey, it wasn't too long ago that Redglare was a kid herself. thus:]
But until then I'm sure we can cover some basic concepts.

...but I suppose so. May I sit?

The first thing to consider is the investigation! A good legislacerator keeps a trail of evidence to support them in the courtblock.

Of course!
