Characters: Luke, and you.

Setting:  Floor four.

Format: Prose at start, go whatever way you want.

Summary: Luke vents by playing violin. Well, the few songs he knows.

Warnings: Apprentice missing teacher. Abusively linking youtube videos. Potentially puzzles and tea later.

Bit by bit, Luke was adjusting to the puzzling nature of the tower. Sure, he wasn't exactly keen on half of the technology around, but he was accepting of it. What he couldn't seem to adjust to was being alone.

Oh, sure, there were plenty of people around- Luke had talked to several, and nobody struck him as being cruel. (Though he had more of an understandable confusion about the trolls from what he'd peeked on the computers, but a gentleman doesn't make assumptions.) It wasn't as if he spent every waking moment with them, and of course he missed his parents strongly as well, but...the Professor was his teacher, and the boy missed him desperately. It just didn't feel right to not have the Professor, or Flora about. Surely nothing had happened to them- Luke could never accept something so ridiculous as that. But their absence was still a sore spot. Layton alone could organize and soothe even this sort of situation, with only his intuition and wits. Why, if the Professor had been 'saved' instead of Luke, then this whole mess would have been solved and everyone could return home-

Maybe he was losing heart that Layton would come and rescue him. Or maybe he was just saddened, because even if this was all resolved...he would just have to go back to his new home, not London. Whatever the cause for his malady, Luke had sauntered down to the fourth floor, set his violin at ready and begun to play. It wasn't perfect, and some of the notes came too quick or too harshly, but it was more soothing than sitting in his room and moping.

...even if he was standing and staring rather sulkily out the foggy windows as he played
