Aww, poor Gabe! That was pretty dark, but those guys are assholes, so I could totally see this happening (behind the scenes). I also enjoyed your portrayal of some of Gabe's inner feelings, especially for Ian. Very enjoyable read, and it's a good addition to the fandom. Nice work!
Yeah, poor Gabe, he had to go and be my favorite character. My beta doesn't even watch the show but she said he needed some Ian lovin now. Ray just seems to have a constant smirk or evil look on his face and yeah, that's where my mind took it.
Thank you so much! I've never written anything like this for a kids show before so I felt a little weird about it
Which roommate was which again? I'm always getting them mixed up.
I really like your writing and the tale you told...eeven if it made me cry. :*( You threw in just the right amount of Gabe/Ian without making it about them.
Ray is the one that Ian pins to the wall and almost punches in the pilot. Don is the one who was acting like he was gonna pull the sheets off Ian's bed in Monitored. I'm strangely fascinated by the two of them.
Thanks! Sorry I made you cry! I'm thinking of maybe doing a follow up Gabe/Ian comfort fic, but we'll see.
Yeah, I don't usually leave things in such a bad place, but I didn't want it to drag on either. I'm glad you like it! There may be some Gabe/Ian comfortfic on the way...and possibly a revengefic after that :D
Don's in The Rooks too? Whaaa? I though it was just Ray and Zack but no matter this fic was deliciously dark. I loved Ray's little insights into Gabe's feelings and then Gabe freaking out and Don being the lookout. It all felt like an HBO canon of the show. And I second sequel with Ian/Gabe and suggest Ray/Jeremy/Zack prequel. js. ;)
Don isn't in the Rooks, but he is friends with Ray so he helped out. I actually didn't notice Zack, guess I'll have to pay better attention when I re-watch it for the hundredth time. HBO canon, that's awesome. I'm actually working on a sequel and I might actually consider the prequel idea, though I'm seeing Ray/Jeremy dealing with Ray's pledge week.

well, if it wasn't clear that I have bizarre kinks, I think after reading this, it is now, heh. nice title too ;).
"“Live by the wing, die by the talon,” Ray quoted the Rooks’ ‘blood’ oath. “Obviously I can’t kill you, but I will make you wish I would.”
