Poem by Sean and I--feedback please?

Ashley:
I am sleeping in your scent again.
My heart’s wrapped around the cold old spice
and sweat with heat of heart beats beating against my chest.
Dr. Seuss colors paint planted pictures in my head.
False memories awake with the nightingale, dew and grass.
Waking in darkness
I breathe in your midnight story,
follow you along odd twists through soft fields of dreams and REM.
We are in dreams.

Sean:
Not at a coffee bean,
or a Ben and Jerrys,
but
in dreams
it seems the only place we could meet,
reality hasn’t etcha-sketched her into existence yet,
or maybe it has,
but my prescription lenses
aren’t the right blend to bend light correctly,
looking in places that don’t fit,
till my restlessness doesn’t sit,
I search until it hurts my self worth,
itching aching bloodshot eyes in this sleeping life,
begin, living with eyelids closed ,
then kaleidoscope visions of her collide into my mind
and I dream of days where I daydream endless

Ashley:
Endless day dreams, endlessly
dreaming  sleeping,
Sleepwalking through this life,
Not yet getting a glimpse of him.
Alpha waves, working through my Rubik’s Cube
brain not getting enough time to get the colors aligned.
His soft hands,
work their way through my hair in the morning light.
As I open my eyes, I see the door open,
the ghost of what should be,
would be, could be
us.

Sean:
I close the door on ghosts,
since we aren’t casper,
and these feelings aren’t friendly,
intangible illusions are fun to see,
but your skin I’m unable to breathe
my chest can’t feel your laughter as I hold you,
and your smile doesn’t leave imprints on my face
as we hug cheek to cheek to cheek to cheek…
No.
I choose to live
to give our ghosts flesh

Ashley:
We are in dreams,

Sean:
but dreams are not the only place we can be.

Both:
Reality waits for our return,
we’ve learned our lesson,
Hopefully we come back as souls,
not merely ghosts

Sean:
with scribbled love notes of yes, no or

Both:
Maybe.

Ashley:                                    Sean:
I can wait.                               I can’t wait.
For you to find me.                 To find you.
