Done for a meme I stole from a1y_puff. XD
Music Meme
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabbles; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them
Collection Title: You And I
Rating: PG
Pairing: AtoJi
Warnings: Abuse of the words "I love you" and angsty angst. Brief language in one.
The Prophet’s Song - Queen
What they had felt very insubstantial. He’d always meant to tell him… But it had never come up, and Jiro had never said it. Atobe sighed. If only there was some sort of God who could just… he didn’t know. They were going to break.
The blond curls pillowed on his lap lent his angel a halo that had nothing to do with his (relatively little) purity. When he slept deeply, Jiro did not dream. Atobe knew because Jiro talked in his sleep when he dreamed. Lately it seemed as if his dreams had been troubled. He shifted now, murmuring annoyedly, face screwed into a frown.
“Shh…” A quiet touch was enough to smooth his features. A sleepy noise escaped his throat. Then his eyes opened, and they were free of slumber when he fixed Atobe with a penetrating stare.
“Keigo, I love you. For God’s sake, I love you.”
“I- I know.” They were going to break.
And it was his fault.

Holding Out For a Hero - Bonnie Tyler
The music was very loud if he thought about it. He tried not to think about it. Impassive, cordially friendly faces circled him like sharks. He was adrift on an island of sanity.
Sighing, he discreetly checked his watch and rubbed a temple. Almost midnight. Fatigue descended alarmingly fast as he staved off the razor-edged butterflies that fluttered around him, all lips and eyes and silicon breasts.
He didn’t want Barbie Bride.
He wanted Jiro.

Epilogue: You and I/The Story of Chess - Anderson-Ulvaeus Notes: From the musical Chess. If you've ever heard the song, I think it's scary how well it actually fits them. XD
They stood side by side on the bridge, arms barely touching.
“You and I…” It was spoken reverently, almost awed.
“Yes.” His hand covered Jiro’s on the railing.
“We’ve seen a lot, huh?”
“That’s true…” A soft chuckle. “And what to make of it, ahn?”
There was silence for a time as they watched the boats go by beneath, gentle waves lapping quietly in a peaceful rhythm. The diamond briefly caught the sun, flashing brilliantly between them. Atobe withdrew his hand as if it had been burned.
“How is your wife?” The question was cautious.
“Fine, fine.” He winced. “Jiro…”
“No, just for a moment…” Small hands drew larger around into an embrace. ‘…I don’t want to talk about her.” Silence. Warmth. “Keigo?”
“Yes?”
“There’s no happy ending, is there?”
“…No. Not for us.”
A sigh. “Yes, that’s what I thought.”

This Jesus Must Die - Andrew Lloyd Webber Notes: This would eventually have gotten somewhere, I sure... As it stands, it's unfinished. How do you write Tenipuri drabbles to Jesus Christ Superstar, anyway? ^^;
The crowd’s voice was raised and cacophonous, praise flying on the air. Jiro narrowed his eyes from his place on the bleachers. More screaming girls after Hyotei’s “king.” He didn’t like it. Keigo was an arrogant son of a bitch, undeserving of that much attention.
----
When He Shines - Sheena Easton
His smile outshone the sun, and it wasn’t the characteristic half-smirk. Resplendent in white, for they had decided that neither looked good in a black tux, Atobe smiled for him.
“I love you, I love you so much.”
“Keigo, Keigo…” The ring was a perfect fit.
Jiro was dreaming. Fondly, Atobe pulled the blanket up around the golden curls and wearily smiled down, turning back to his laptop.

Let it Out - Hoobastank Notes: Also would have gone somewhere... This song is another that fits them really well.
“You’re too cautious.” The words surprised Atobe out of his newspaper. Jiro was standing angrily in front of him, arms folded across his chest. In one hand he was clutching a crumpled magazine.
“What?” He couldn’t place the anger.
“What is this?!” the blonde practically screamed, wildly gesturing with the article. A glossy photo of his boyfriend kissing some girl.
“Jiro, we can’t be seen.”
“I love you! Stop pretending I don’t exist. I don’t care about them.”

Dansi na Kuimba (Dance and Sing) - As performed by Junior Districts Chorus
Spring was a peaceful time in the country. The sun bathed them gently as they lay in the grass, hands entwined. For the first time in months, they both had nothing to do, and the sweet repose of a holiday in Europe had bolstered spirits.
Now they lay, fully enjoying each other, the air, and the simple pleasure of doing nothing together.

Weight of the World - Evanescence Notes: Possible OOC, although I'm thinking I really want to write a fic to explain how they got so bitter...
The screen illuminated his stressed face as he typed furiously into the night. Another message blinked on his desk phone. Another check up.
“Jiro.” The receiver was still warm from his fingers. He suppressed a sigh.
“When are you coming home?” Worry, anger, jealously, the same mix as thirty minutes ago.
“Soon. I’m working.”
“And how is the president’s daughter?” Dial tone.

The Ballad of Elizabeth Dark - Michael Peter Smith Notes: Grammatically, this one is an complete and utter wreck. >.o
It seemed a long time ago when they had met in a coffee shop. He was an odd sort of person, beautiful and golden. Yes, it seemed forever ago since they’d walked the sand together, since they read quietly before the fire, mentioning aloud particularly poignant bits.
He sometimes went back, but he didn’t see him. It had been ten years, after all, and he was sure Jiro had just gone, leaving a warm and slightly sticky memory.

My Happy Ending - Avril Lavigne Notes: This kind of ties in with You and I, doesn't it?
“Keigo!” He ran, trying to catch up. “Wait! What-?” He sighed exasperatedly and grabbed the tail of his coat. “What’s wrong?”
An impassive face greeted him. “I told you we’re through, ahn? Now leave Ore-sama alone.” Dumbstruck, Jiro let him walk a few feet ahead before catching up.
“This is about my ‘status’ isn’t it?” Silence. “Keigo…” Nothing. He let go. “Well, thanks for being there. You know, for a while anyway.” He watched quietly as his love disappeared into the crowd.

The end. Hope you enjoyed. (:
