Maternity leave
Today was/is the last day of my maternity leave. Fi has been in daycare for at least part of the day since last week, and I'm getting better when we leave her, but it's a lot harder than I thought it would be. Tomorrow's going to be hard, too. I've still got to get my stuf together, and I'm really not ready to go back yet. I feel like I should have taken a couple more weeks. :(
It's been an overwhelming 2 months, and I've enjoyed it more than I ever thought I could, even with the hard parts. It's definitely an eye-opening experience, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I just wish it wasn't over.
Fi is absolutely amazing, and I'm still struck with wonder at least once a day when I watch and play with her. She's gotten bigger; she weighs at least 15 pounds at 7.5 weeks, and she's outgrown most of her 3 month old clothes already. She's smiling and (almost) laughing, and she'll make faces at us. It's awesome.
