Well...
I'm running behind, very behind getting my course work done. I finally finished 100% of the 17-module course, and took the first of three big final tests that I need to take and pass with at least an 85% score before calling the company to request my certificate of completion be mailed to me (which I must have in order to take the state exam).
Bad news: The first 150 question test, though much of it came right to my mind as I read the questions, was actually harder in parts than I expected.
Good news: I passed.
Bad news: I only got a score of 86% correct, just one point higher than the required 85% to pass the exam.
Good news: I still passed.
Good news: I feel a lot more prepared for the next two tests required to pass the course.
Bad news: The recruiting manager had given me a deadline last week of 6pm Tuesday to finish the course. I didn't finish until about 9pm last night. Knowing that he is hiring me to eventually move up in the company and manage an office, I didn't feel so hot about missing the deadline.
Good news: I spoke to him at five minutes after midnight when he called me (we've already established that we're both night owls and that calls up to midnight are not a problem for either of us), and he told me that it was okay. That he'll be in meetings all day Wednesday so he wants me to take whatever time I need to complete the last two big tests (I think they're 100-120 questions each) on Wed, and report to his office 2pm Thursday for the next step.
Good news: I have all day today to work on that and study more.
Bad news: It's 2pm and I've not eaten or done anything yet today, and I'm pretty hungry.
Good news: I'm going to go to Ci Ci's all you can eat pizza and salad bar for a filling lunch. And take all the notes I pirnted out from the course and study them while I eat.
Bad news: I haven't showered yet.
Good news: I'm about to shower.
Better news: I'm finally going to end this post...
...now.
