erm, so i am back. i went to big bear with my family, and coughed up a lung. i could not snowboard, so i took pictures at the lake with my dad and tried to read. i had to share a room with my brother and he snores so i couldn't sleep even though i would up the dosage of dimetapp to add sleepiness. coming down the mountain my ears wouldn't pop. i am sitting here typing with the sound of the keys echoing in my head.

the snow was different this year. there was less. the lake wasn't frozen, and i found myself battling neon lights downtown. big bear has become an odd mixture of independent local shops and huge corporate restaurants. within the small town there is a mcdonald's, a burger king, eleven, quizno's sub, domino's pizza, starbuck's coffee and i don't know what else. it seems to have lost is character. i did though enjoy the small lightning fixture store as well as the candy shoppe.

we went to the zoo which is small but has many, many animals. my favorite were the timber wolves, they are so tall and beautiful. most of the animals are apparently rescued orphans, yet i don't understand why they were not reintroduced into the wild and instead left to spend their lived rotting away in those small captivities. (it is though apparent why some animals like the three legged bear cannot survive in the wild.)

i am sleepy and this stuffed ear is getting to me. i find myself aggravated with many people and myself. the thing that bothers me about livejournal, and internet journals in general is that people make some ridiculous posts just for the comments or something. i apologize if this seems pretentious, it probably is.

i hope everyone had a fantastic valentine's day.

p.s. we went to this mexican restaurant today and my bothers ordered these enormous burritos, "the torpedo burrito." the waiter was laughing when he handed them their huge burritos. i guess it doesn't seem that funny when it is typed. oh yeah, and plenty of pictures will be posted on my website when i get around to developing them.
