I still haven't won the powerball

Yesterday was NK's team challange at the River Center. Because my partner decided she was going to join the military, I didn't get to compete in form. I did have a partner for sparring however, and this is where the story gets good. In women's team sparring, there are two women to a team and the first fight is to five points or 90 seconds, which ever comes first. The second fight is 90 seconds regardless. I was chosen to take the 90 second round. My partner and I made it past the first round with 8 points. It was during my fight in the second round that I felt a "twinge" in my back between my shoulder blades while I was punching. By the end of the fight it hurt every time I took a breath in. My back was seizing up. But we had made it to the third round to battle it out for first place. I had to take the first round to five points but when I finished the pain in my back was excrutiating. I couldn't get a full breath. I could bend down or turn side to side. Against my wishes the EMTs opted to have me hauled out on fucking stretcher in the middle of this tournament. At least they gave me a bump of phentenol in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. While I was waiting in the zoo they call an ER, they loaded me up with some good old morhpine as well. Lucky for me it turns out I did not slip a disc or tear a muscle. I did manage to pop a rib and T3 and T4 had decided they were going to twist out at opposite directions. I also strained my trapezius and rhomboid major and minor. So I got to go home with some good old pain killers and muscle relaxants.

On the way home my car died on the highway. Though it started back up 10 minutes later. So I figured the way my luck was going I would at least win the lottery. No beans. Oh well, at least I took second place in sparring.
