It was cool out yesterday, so I mowed both the front and back yards. My pansy and poppy seeds are starting to sprout. Rereading a pansy seed packet, I relearned that they need darkness to germinate, so I'd better put a piece of cardboard over them so they'll all come up.
For the first time in several years, I won't be planting tomatoes and bell peppers. They take an incredible amount of watering, staking, caging and plant food and my energy this year is a bit depleted.
