Dream
A couple nights ago I had a clever dream. I dreamed that I was in some kind of social setting, where a new movie was being produced. The title of the movie was “The Urge of Night” and it was about vampires. The title was a pun on the old soap opera from the fifties called “The Edge of Night.” It always opened with a scene very similar to the opening scene of Dark Shadows, which featured waves crashing on a rocky nighttime beach. I learned further that the movie would star Jonathan Frid, who was the original Barnabas in Dark Shadows. I was so excited to be around stars and celebrities that I said, “Oh, I’m a big fan of Jothanan Frid!” I mispronounced it that way (joth-a-nan) instead of Jonathan as I nervously stumbled over my words.
