I don't know for sure if it's poisonous. It's related to the milkweed plant, which does have toxic fluid in it, so maybe this vine is also toxic. Milkweeds are great though, because the monarch butterflies need them for survival. When monarchs eat the milkweed fluid (or sap? I'm not sure what it's called), it's good food for them, and makes them poisonous to possible predators. Thus giving them a better chance to survive.
The pale swallowwort is not useful for anyone or anything, as far as I can tell. Monarchs sometimes mistakenly lay their eggs on it, and the monarch larvae always die.
We have some public transportation here, but it's not great. I'm going to have problems when shopping for groceries, not to mention other items. :(
