Car Trouble
My mother was driving her car this morning when the brakes gave out. Luckily she wasn't driving very fast, and just bumped into a big truck instead of crashing at high speed. She wasn't hurt but it's shocking when your brakes suddenly don't work.
Her car was inspected -- get this -- one week ago! They made her get the *emergency* brake repaired (for $500.00!), but said that everything else was fine. How is this possible?
