I'm finally done with the yard work for this year. Today I did the last of the raking and bagging, even as elm leaves blew off a tree and swirled around me. So the finished product isn't perfect but I've got to draw the line somewhere. I also cut down the dead coneflower stalks, cleared away yards of spent morning glory vines, emptied my tomato pots -- salvaging as much soil as possible for reuse next year -- and stored them in the garage. It was all a huge, time-consuming, difficult job and I'm so glad it's over.
