As I headed off towards Memphis on Tuesday, I realized my preference for purple had taken an addictive turn.
The drive to Memphis from Lebanon Mo was about a 5 hour drive. And it was gorgeous!! The first place I pulled over in southern Missouri was a stunning place called Rosewood Farms. It is a fourth generation business that has gorgeous gardens, country home decor, homemade bath salts and lotions and the best chocolate!!
The drive through northern Arkansas was really beautiful. I saw so many things that I wanted to share with you that I began to fantasize about doing a travel show for Oprah's new network. I stopped at a crazy flea market that was just warrens of rooms filled with amazing little trinkets and treasures and a fascinating old gentleman that would have made a great episode on my show!!
Made it to Memphis and have spent the last two days with Patrick, Lindsey and Jayce. The boys and I went down to Beale Street yesterday and ate barbeque!! Here is a photo of the famous blues mecca.
Today I head toward Asheville NC and I will be staying at a retreat center called Isis Cove. I may not be able to post there so stay tuned.
I am as up and down as the hills of Arkansas, between wanting to just turn around and go home to nestle in and rest and wanting to do this the rest of my life. I am missing my family and am in touch with my inner essence of joy and wonder as I experience new and fun things. So I am sitting in the middle waiting and watching this experience unfold. As always, thanks for joining me.
