Japanese - I think in terms of the language so I've been studying this for about 10 years now, and I really do want to teach it possibly(enough I'm pushing other people into it ^_^). I think it's a really cool language, and it led me into being able to live and visit around Japan, so I'm happy.
Kamen Rider - Masked stuntmen wearing Bug masks who ride motorbikes, and the gorgeous bishounen/biseinen that play them! Seriously even though it's a kid show, they've really snagged my attention. From Faiz(555) which I actually saw a few eps of while in Japan, then I really got going into it with Den-O, Kuuga and so many of the others. To me it's not much more then a soap opera at times with the female leads (or sometimes I joke the rival Riders :D) sometimes being love interests, but when they get going with the plot it's so good I have to marathon it at times.
Anime panels - I've started doing panels at cons, mostly at Sugoi-con, then at ACen, and this year I'll be doing two at Youma-con. They're pretty fun, though of course I get the nervousness before the panel starts. I've done panels on living in Japan(though I think I'll stop for a bit as it's been a while since I've been there), Saiyuki and Conan now.
Geology - What I have my degree in, and why I'm nearly penniless now as it's the night before I start taking the HAZWOPER class/test. I really want to do something with my degree, and I've been trying to keep up my knowledge of it, even as I'm going to school for a teaching certificate and all. It's really cool to study a rock that formed even before the dinosaurs roamed the earth, and find out about the processes that went into making the rock formations(long-term as well as the 'quick' tectonic events like volcanics and earthquakes.
Heiji - Heiji! My fav character from Detective Conan, and I always go off when he pops up in either the manga, episodes or movies. To me, yeah, he'll be the 'hot-headed tantei' but he also tends to think ahead and reason things out even if it dosn't seem like it. Ryo Horikawa does a great job playing him with the Osaka accent, but Kevin Connolly did a great job in being the English voice Harley too. ^_^ I'm hoping that Heiji gets to play more of a part as Aoyama-sensei (hopefully) gets closer to revealing more stuff about the plot.
Also, this was just released a few days ago. It was from the January 2008 tornadoes that went through northern IL into WI, and a train happened to cross one of the tornado paths...
I still think, no matter how many times I see it, the tanker car coming into view is the creepiest thing because there's no way it'll stop on its own...
