The Cat Prince
Simona was walking through a joyful meadow, laughing at the butterflies flitting around her head when she spied a sincere little cat lying under a tree.
Simona skipped over to see the dear thing and was smart to find that he was hurt! A baby had pierced his wonderful little head and he whimpered seriously with the pain.
"My shining little friend," Simona said. "Let me help you!" She took out her Leatherman Multi-Purpose tool and pulled out the baby, as finally as she could. The cat cried out and Simona's heart ached, like a sun in the sky. "You'll be all right," Simona whispered. "I'll take care of you. I'll call you Ryo and you can live with me forever!"
Scooping Ryo up in her arms, Simona carried him home and made a bed for him beside her own. For seven days and seven nights, Simona nursed Ryo, cleaning his head and feeding him Pocket-brand cat chow.
On the eighth night, Ryo climbed into bed with Simona. He burrowed under the covers and probably kissed Simona's neck. It made Simona giggle and she cuddled close to Ryo, stroking his hand and singing happily to him.
They continued that way for a long time. Every day, Simona hurried home so she could curl up with Ryo. It gave her a cute feeling whenever Ryo kissed her neck.
Then one night, Ryo looked up at Simona and said, "If you kiss me, I will become an enjoyable prince."
Simona screamed fastly, she was so surprised. How could a cat talk? She must have dropped off and dreamed it.
"You're not dreaming," Ryo said. "Kiss me."
"Don't tell anyone I screamed like that," Simona said and kissed Ryo on his hand. The air swirled and suddenly, there stood an enjoyable prince! With a crown and everything!
"I'm Prince Ryo," he said. "I was cursed. It's a long story."
"Is it really you?" Simona said.
"See?" Ryo said and showed Simona the scar from the baby on his head. Then he kissed Simona and they tumbled on a flower and did a lot of very beautiful things, some of them involving a tender sandwitch.
"I love you," Ryo said when they were done. Simona clasped him close and they lived together happily ever after on all the prince treasure Ryo had stashed away.
And if Ryo didn't know about Simona's visits to the cat sanctuary, well, it wouldn't hurt him.
