haha, damn I can't even look at the word Twilight without laughing my ass off now. The movie was hilarious. I'm talking teeth marks still on my hand from jamming my fist into my mouth to keep it all in.
lol! Was it as bad as everyone else is saying? I just didnt want to mmiss out on the biggest joke in the universe.....but I didn't want to pay for it, either, lol, so bootleg it is! Haven't seen it yet (still downloading).
See, THIS is a series that needs a movie. Not Twilight. Actually, that might kill it. But it would be epic to see it on the big screen.
I really loved how the author never really EXPLAINS the terms he makes up....it just...falls into place and you accept it. I LOVE THAT. Like, he didn't care whether or not you understood it. It's part of the universe and you take it or you don't.
Seriously! And he does it so well, too. Sometimes when authors don't fully explain things (or do explain things too much) it feels really plonked in - here is 1/2 the information figure it out lolz - but his worldbuilding felt very unintrusive to the actual story. haha, plus he has an lj: http://scott-lynch.livejournal.com/ *stalks*
I think it's funny that even the die hard fans of twilight didn't like it.
I thought it was like a soap opera, and so did many of the critics. not saying soap operas are bad, but they are something that should go straight to tv.
I thought it was enjoyable, and once in a while the actors and actresses did these STUPID things. WTF,seriously. first scene with Bella and Edward in biology class look at Edward's reaction to her scent. that's...like. the worst reaction ever. i couldn't stop laughing.
S-Sort of a lurker here, heh (I like your art!) But oh my god! Lies of Locke Lamora! The third one is coming out in February! And they've made a movie deal but that makes me sad inside :(
Oh they DID make a movie deal? It might totally destroy the book, hahha, but that's still exciting news. I would love to see it on the big screen. Who knows...maybe it'll be a good translation.
