Summary: The team takes a case that's different from the usual case: extract the location of a serial killer's last victim. Ariadne finds herself inside the murderer's mind, lost in a twisted Wonderland where the only way out is in and the only way up is down. With the help of the team as various denizens of Wonderland and herself as Alice, Ariadne has to find the real Alice before the killer catches on. But is the killer really the only thing to worry about? In Wonderland, things are never quite what they seem.
Author's Notes: Written for inception_bang . I haven't played in a Big Bang since Winterwood, so it was a fun exercise to see how much they (and I!) had changed since then. I had a blast playing with the Inception cast of characters! And of course, all my respect and gratitude to my beta, short_hemline , whose help was invaluable when it came to getting the story from my head to the page (and who didn't freak out on me when, a few days after rough drafts were due, I e-mailed her saying basically, "I've painted myself into a corner; what do I do now?" and helped me through it), and to slanted_edges for pretty much the most gorgeous artwork ever. I thought this fic was finished when I put the last words down, but it wouldn't have been whole without them.
There is an optional soundtrack to this fic available here. It's very simple, no bells and/or whistles, but mostly songs I listened to on repeat while writing that shaped themselves into an approximate retelling of the fic. Please be aware that there are spoilers to the fic in the soundtrack and proceed with caution.
