There was something special about this boy standing in front of him - that much was for sure. Souji was sure of it ever since the moment he'd stumbled upon him earlier on in the day. They hadn't known each other for long, but there was something about Minato that made him feel as if there was some sort of connection beyond that. Beyond his timid nature, beyond the trendy haircut and the softly blaring headphones that rested against his chest, there was definitely something. And Souji was now one step closer to the truth, one large step, after finding out this vital piece of information:
Minato was a persona user.
Sure, Souji was well-informed that there were other persona-users besides him and his friends back in Inaba, but it had never occurred to him that he might ever meet one - and especially not here. There were still some things that confused him, though, considering Minato's lack of knowledge concerning the Midnight Channel. Had the guy even heard of Inaba? The chances were unlikely. The matter of the fact was that a lot of things didn't really add up.
This place, Toujours...
There were more mysteries, too. (As if the murder mysteries back at Inaba weren't enough, right?) He had met that girl, Elizabeth, Igor's assistant from The Velvet Room and Margaret's sister. He could briefly recall what Margaret had told him about her journeying away from The Velvet Home in order to rescue a certain boy from his fate... could these coincidences somehow be related? It was too soon to tell, that was for sure. But he's Souji, he's a smooth guy, and he knows how to approach these things one step at a time.
"Have you heard of the Midnight Channel?" he asked, noting Minato's clueless expression (that is... whenever he showed any form of emotion whatsoever). "Everyone back at Inaba knows about it."
