You know how I was complaining about my iPod being a bitch and not updating?
Yes, well, it died. Like, completly dead; it had a heart attack and froze, may it rest in peace. 2.5 years old (to the day nearly), used heaps, I suppose it had a good run. But mourning it's loss has been made easier. My parents came in while I was at work today to ask if I wanted a new one, because and I quote, "We don't think you'd be able to survive without one." I wasn't sure if I should be insulted or not but ah well.
So yes, they bought me a 160gig, black video iPod classic! I love the smell of it, that new smell. Weird. And it comes already charged! So much better than the 'have to charge before you even think about putting music on' iPods from a couple of years ago.
Speaking of music, Nightwish's new album (yes, the one that came out a few months ago, shut up) is so good! I much prefer Anette over Tarja. I know a lot of people don't but I do.
Amaranth is one of my favourite songs! Beautiful instrumentals and just all around brilliant! And it's a fun word to say. The video clip is also very...chilling in a way?
Eva is such a sad song. The words just really get to you. I love it.
The Poet and the Pendulum is also very good. The album in general is just my favourite of theirs so far. Some people say it's more popy, but it's just...better really.
And! AND! There are so many concerts next year! *supress squee*
Nightwish at the beginning of February! I am so going! ^^
Michael Buble! *faints of happiness* in May I think. And the stage production of the Phantom of the Opera in May as well!
I can not wait! I am going to all. Oh, I also want to go to Billy Elliot in December some time. That should be very good.
I have to give a talk to the Year 10's at my high school on Tuesday about what I did last year, this year and what I'm doing next year. I think I'm an example of what not to do at high school of alternate routes. ^^ No, I'm doing really well actually. A couple of Distinctions, a few Credits and a couple of passes. I have 2 more classes and I'll have my BA. This time next week, I'll be more or less free of everything! =D
