It’s been a hectic one, that’s for sure. I think there were a couple of months in particular where my stress and anxiety levels hit record highs, mainly during May. I still had to finish my degree, was stuck in a job that did nothing for either my mind or my wallet, and there was no promise of a break to keep me sane.
Then there was June: got a call on my birthday informing me of my interview with Mr. J, and the rest is well documented on this here journal :D
Ignoring the few bad and concentrating on the good aspects of my year, this is what 2011 was for me:
- The year I applied to a billion jobs, got into PB’s workshop, was the only applicant to garner an interview and secure the job
- The year I finished my Masters degree with a distinction average
- The year I picked up Krav Maga, and while I don’t go to as many classes as I wish, I do truly enjoy it (and the sadist in me adores it)
- The year lovely LeeAnn was able to join me in Sydney
- The year I improved my water painting to levels I didn’t think myself capable of
- The year White Bird finally took off, with Bobo and I holding a stall at an art festival
- The year I went back into serious study of Japanese
In summation, 2011 was a very accomplished year for me :)
Now, what will 2012 be like I wonder...I do have some things I’m looking forwards to very much:
- More Krav Maga
- A trip to Italy for Sonia’s wedding
- GRADUATION CEREMONY!!! XD
- Serious look into purchasing property
2012 resolutions:
- Get better at that kicking-ass self defence thing
- Sit the JLPT in December (not sure which level yet...should go for 2, but I’m curious about the new 3)
- Keep improving White Bird as a business
- Get back into serious photography
- Lose the ‘graduate’ title and get a pay rise!
So, HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERBODY! Here from SHINY SHINY Sydney
