Proud New Member of 500px :D
I was going to post about work and uni, but I'll save that boring post for later. Let's get into the creative zone :3
After flailing at everyone about the 500px photography site and the absolutely, astonishingly, breathtakingly AWESOME work found on it, I created an account. I figured that getting even a tiny bit of attention from such amazing photographers will make all the flailing worth it. I ended up getting more than what I hoped for :D My 'Magical Forest' photo made the front page under the 'Upcoming' heading!!!
Thanks to this site, my passion for photography has been awakened, and my limitations realized. I decided that my graduation gift to me this year shall be the Canon 5D Mark II camera body. I also intend on buying a 400mm L prime, and the 70-200 F4 IS L lens within the next year and a half. Two L lenses and a full sensor body...OOooh the things I'll be able to do...
In other news, I sold another original painting on Etsy (yay), and I've been working on miniature water paintings to sell alongside the 3 commissions I'm currently working on. Business is vital, since I intend to spend the art money asap on waterpaint paper and some waterpaint tubes of shades I can't mix on my own.
I need more hours in my days -_-
Speaking of cool things, look what we have to give away alongside our sale items! Each will have a unique ink sketch on the back :)
