Well surprisingly enough I was called up for a second interview for the student programming position! I'll be going in on Monday at 8pm (I think its an indication of what their work schedules are like, he said they were pretty flexible on times), which I also still need to work out with Home Depot as far as my schedule that day is concerned. I was pretty apprehensive about learning a whole new language on the fly, but after picking up a book on ASP.NET I feel a whole lot better about it. Its so easy!!! I should've known that because its Microsoft everything is drag and drop with less hands-on coding than other platforms. So yeah, feeling much better about that possibility.
I also got two other job offers :-D One of them was all the way out in Mason, OH (two and a half hours away) and the other was in Akron (hour and a half). Honestly I don't think I'm qualified for either position, but I didn't tell them that. I did tell them to keep me in mind for other projects closer to Columbus. This is what I've found out about looking for jobs on sites like Monster: forget Monster! If you're looking for tech positions dice.com is where its at, thats where both of those hits were generated. Also, post your resume!
I finally got (the majority of) my loan money from school the other day, what a relief that was. I'm just waiting for the rest of it and Wynter's loan money to come in so we can (finally) get a second vehicle. We're leaning towards a pick-up, but even the cheap ones are expensive so I guess we'll see where that goes.
Things are good right now, wish me luck on the interview!
