Guess who i met yesterday?! Delta Goodrem!!!
I had just finished counting the register, when she approached my counter and asked where the thank you cards were. At the time, it didnt even register that it was her until i walked her over and showed her where it was, and when i did, i turned to her and asked her if she was by any chance Delta Goodrem, and she smiled and said that she was. And unlike the Melissa George incident, i told her how much my sister and i loved her music (as we've been fans since her debut), and she said, "Aww, thank you so much!" I then asked her if she was after boxed thank you cards, and she said she was, so i walked her across the floor to where they were, and she had so many shopping bags that she was struggling to carry them all.
She was going to head over to my department in Stationery, but decided to pay for the card-related stuff. I asked her how much longer she was staying in Australia (since she moved to Ireland to be with the ex-Westlife guy), and she said till Christmas. Her phone started to ring, and she couldn't find it, because she was carrying this huge Bvlgari bag, and by the time she got it she missed the call, and because we're situated on lower ground, by the time the person rang again, she couldn't really hear them and didn't know where they were(they were at the Noodle Bar, which was in the Food-Hall on the lower ground of the other David Jones), and at the same time she signed for her purchases, which was the same as her autograph (i always wondered if celebrity's autographs were the same as their signatures for things). When she got off the phone, i gave her directions to the Noodle Bar (which she forgot, because she asked my co-worker Jennifer over in stationary after she bought other stuff) and then i told her how i was looking forward to her new album. She looked so excited when i mentioned her new album, and she kinda just smiled and said thank you (i completely forgot to ask her when it was coming out!). She thanked me again, and then she walked across to Stationery, and i tried my best not to keep staring at her. She's just as gorgeous in real life as the photos.
Upon hearing about Delta through another co-worker, Julia and Nila from confectionary kinda ran over to our sections, and walked really quickly and looking at Delta, before they made a detour over to me, where i squealed and recounted my encounter with them.
