[Today, while all the girls are in control, the manliest boy around is busy looking for something! He received a super special mission from Numbuh 1, so he's out and about today with a really heavy backpack. He can take it ( Read more... )

[You want to know what the scariest house in Mayfield is? This one that you've walked into right here. You might have been clued in by the statue-thing out in the front yard, or the smaller versions of the same surrounding the house. Not that those are really threatening, they're just statues (right?).

The inside of this house is a bit scary though. Someone apparently decided that bones are good for decorating the house. Real dead animal bones. Seriously, the light in the living room looks like this.

A cloaked figure, about two feet tall, walks through the room, dusting off the shelves with a feather duster. It is wearing a little maid headdress.

Also, its face is the skull of a dog.

And it is between Numbah 4 and the door.]

...[Gulp. This was probably the worst place he could have gone. But, that must mean that it HAS to be in... in...

Alright, at seeing that cloaked maid thing though? He screams.]

[It pauses for a moment, then continues dusting.

However, Numbah 4's scream caught the attention of one of the occupants of the house, who decides to investigate.

Oh look! It's an adult! An adult with red eyes and a knife and a Russian accent.]

Child is lost?

[Oh god. Bones, weird maid, accent? A WITCH.]

N...no! I'm looking for something, that's all!

Да? What is child looking for?

[He's scared of her and that's almost cute. At least he's not screaming and shaking like Latvia does.]

D...Don't play dumb with me! You'd know exactly what I'm looking for!

[COURAGE, WALLABEE. FALSE COURAGE. And he's not there yet.]

Perhaps child will explain.

[And that would be a command right there.

I'm looking for a mind control device that the adults're probably using to make kids do whatever they want!

[JUST LIKE THAT.]

...

['Do whatever they want'? Well.]

Child will come this way and we will discuss things.

[She walks out of the room, heading for the kitchen. Let's see if he follows.]

[He wanted to say "No way!", but instead he followed obediently. Just as he said.]

[The kitchen is surprisingly normal. No bones, no bubbling cauldrons, no spiderwebs or bats. No mortar or pestle or broom of silver birch.

Just the normal Mayfield kitchen.]

Child will sit.

[She gestures at the kitchen table with its red-and-white checked cloth and bowl of apples.

Then she turns to the skull-headed maid-thing and shoos it out of the kitchen.]

Why is child thinking this is work of adults?

[Nuts. He at least wanted to see what an eye of newt looked like.

Child does sit, feeling uncomfortable and looking a little confused.]

Well, who else could it be? Those Delightful Dorks aren't in this town, right?

Why would child think it was adults, and not children?

[And now she's pouring some hot tea and setting a teacup in front of her visitor. She has one of her own as well, and sips at it after taking a seat at the table.]

...[He just stares at it.] Because children are being bossed around, not adults.

Really?

...Well, that couldn't have been us kids! We haven't even been around long enough to set anything like that up!
