I am happy.
I have my dream job, which I love. I have so many friends at the lab, they are like my family in Indianapolis. I've only been there ten months but it feels like forever. I had no idea I'd fit in so well.
I'm building a beautiful condo. I get to pick what I want in it, I get to choose carpet and tile and cabinets and faucets. This is made possible by some good timing and good credit that my parents helped me establish years ago. And thank you, crappy economy! Hope you get better soon so I can make a profit in five or six years!
I'm beyond excited to spend a week with my family over Christmas. I saw them all at Thanksgiving, of course, but this is going to be like it always was, our vacation in northern Michigan over the holidays. Skiing and board games and fires in the fireplace. My family always has so much fun, just hanging out together. We really like each other's company. We're friends.
And then I get to go to Chicago for New Year's with my awesome boyfriend. I forget what we'll be doing there; but whatever it is, it's a little vacation with him.
Then... January will be so boring.
