2 days until Caity gets here and 12 some hours.
Huuuurrrrryyyyy uppppp allreadddyyyyyyyyy. Friggin Thursday. Thursday, turns out, is a staff development day so I get the day off from school. That means I just have to survive today and tommorrow and I get to see Caity. Damn!
Maybe going to 6 flags on Friday night, plus there's the Getty and also that King Tut exhibit is coming back to LA so I'll have to get tickets for that this weekend. My lucky ass room-mate Mike is getting triple overtime right now to work for America West in Denver because they were short on some ground crew, plus he gets full hotel accomodations and of course first class all the way. Bastard. He's out there right now with his coworker partying it up while I sit on my lame ass and race electronic Miatas in a contest that amounts to... well nothing. If you're ever offered a job with an airline... take it. Unless you don't like flying anywhere anytime for free that is. Or triple overtime on an already better than average salary. Or unions. Then you're better off with Starbucks.
It's been about a week since I got GT4 and I already have 40 some percent game completion plus I beat the 24 hour Nurburgring endurance race... this is a sure indicator I have no life. I only have maybe 10% of the cars so far (nearly all race cars/tuner cars) but they're all full tuned to my specs and kick some serious a$$... Except for the Miata I'm racing in the stupid Tsukuba roadster 4 hour enduro as I write this. Miatas just don't suit me I guess. I still haven't gotten the Shigeno version 86 though... haven't had the patience to check for it every day in the used car dealerships. But as gaybo as B-Spec mode is, it hasn't hurt my ace Gran Turismo skills any and it's enabled me to beat about 5% of the game per day and I don't even have to pay attention to much anything. Next up is Formula GT mode in the Extreme series... racing your Formula car against a bunch of prototype racers is a blast until, oh, lap 10. Then you realize you have about 80 more laps to go, not including the 90 some more laps on a couple dozen more tracks just to win 1 series and get your '89 Sauber Mercedes which is still slower than the car you just used to earn it... not to mention all the time you spend adjusting that Formula car to match each individual course with a simulation to earn 1st place. On the bright side you can always use that 3 million purse to... err... buy more Miatas. Whatever floats your boat. Am I seriously blogging about this??? Holy shit.
My e-life. Sigh.
