Changes:
Before her powers manifested, Rogue was an outgoing, friendly, vivacious kid. She was confident in her appearance and a bit of a daredevil, the charismatic 'storm the fort' and 'lets do any and everything' sort. Then her powers manifested as she and her first boyfriend, Mello, shared a kiss. He was in a coma for weeks... and she found out that she could never again touch another living being without horrible consequences. She cut and straightened her hair, started wearing clothes that covered every inch of her body, and developed an acerbic and cynical personality to keep people away instead of drawing them in. If you were her friend before this happened, her instinctive response would have been to do everything that she could to get you to ditch her.
Because she's not safe. She's a monster. And you're better off not being near her.
With such a complete reversal, it's entirely possible that more people - former friends - would have figured out what had caused it. If you want to play that your character knows Rogue's powers now due to them having discussed it in the past - go right ahead. Just please remember that they will only remember her powers if they discuss it during this week.
With her powers having no purpose or outlet, Rogue is even more bitter about them than she is in canon - and kind of can't stand 'The Great One' as a result. The fact that her brother is going to be a priest in training for this religion only exacerbates the situation.
All the same, she's still the same kind-hearted person. She finds even more solace than normal in her music, and has picked up several different ways to play, although she does this privately.
