(no subject)
I spent all that time catching up on LJ because I wanted to actually do a proper update, but I'm really really REALLY grumpy today so you probably don't want to hear anything I'd have to say. :-p
I can complain about non-living objects. Our well water is contaminated after the recent flooding (nowhere near us) and has looked like pee for about a week now, our microwave broke Friday night (you never realize how much you use those things...), and my laptop is making funny noises. *glares at inanimate objects*
On the upside, work is very slowly picking up. Our financial situation has been officially upgraded from terrifying to simply frightening. :-p We sold my dad's guns to my bmom's husband last week (with a bonus of an afternoon spent at their lake house and an open invite to go there any time, whether they're there or not!), which has given us enough cash-on-hand that the credit cards are officially off-limits for anything that isn't auto-charged (meaning bills), and I sold the Yamaha keyboard I'd had since I was... 14? and I have put that money in the official RV budget, which has been empty for months.
I wasn't expecting to get emo as I watched the girl put my keyboard in her trunk. I haven't not had a piano-like musical instrument around my house since I was six... I really loved that keyboard and played the hell out of it, but I haven't really touched it since I was taking singing lessons. Silly just to have it sit around the house. The 10 seconds of music the girl played to test it out sounded better than anything that's EVER come out of me. :-p K promised he'd soothe my loss by actually getting something done on the RV for me this week.
