Just bitching...
There are a few things I'd really like to say.
Firstly, the Department of Education and Training here in Australia have to be the most annoying bunch in the world. I don't know who they have blocking websites, but I would like to go on YouTube, DeviantART, FanFiction.Net and LiveJournal while at school.
Today I found out that they blocked FanFiction.Net at my school when it had been available for years. I have been posting chapters of my fics from school to keep my audience happy and they went and blocked it. Nice one, douchebags.
Now when they rolled out the laptops for year 9 last year, I thought I would be able to do more with the laptops. They have the latest versions of photoshop, dreamweaver and other adobe products (even though they don't have flash or movie maker), which is fun for editing images from home. But the problem is, I was really hoping that I would be able to access more sites. We had grooveshark internet radio available to us for a while before it was blocked. We can't play games. We're not allowed on YouTube. The digital world is a world of true freedom. We can say what we like without being slammed (we end up getting flamed, but it's fun to see people ragequit), we can display our creativity more easily through words and images- the internet's a free market. It's like all of a sudden they want to block us from having fun at school. No offense to any teachers in the audience.
Secondly, I AM SO F*CKING TIRED OF THE TESTS WE'VE BEEN HAVING. If you're an Australian Year 10 student, I'm sure you support my frustration of having to write your student number over ten times. Two year's time we'll have to do it again. Wonderful. (/sarcasm)
Thirdly, why can't school start later? I never get enough sleep- I'm in bed by ten, I get up at five to finish off homework and leave the house at ten past seven and school starts at eight thirty. I'd appreciate the extra two or three hours so I could sleep better.
Then again, I'm tired. You know what? I'm just gonna go to sleep. Too tired to bitch anymore...
