Expo Report
Now that I'm not so sleepy that I want to just curl up under my bed covers for another ten hours, I will talk about London Expo shenanigans. Headed to sascharin's (who is a girl) house Friday evening with Bev, arrived at Marylebone and couldn't see anyone :| So I sent a text to cockpuppet asking if the others were at Michael's already. She sent back a text saying, "No, we're in Canada." And then she took me seriously when I JOKINGLY SAID, after we found them, that I had been worried they actually were. B|
So, anyway, along with Tyr (who is a guy) and manga_ghost, the lot of us headed to Michael's and it quickly became apparent that everyone was just as awesome IRL as they are online, which was very reassuring because I'd been scared of not getting on with them or something silly like that. But no, I think we got on all right, and much pizza was had by all. Went to bed late after morlena arrived and we played some MGS2 (I think it was Friday that we played MGS2...), since we wanted to show Fel the ending. I had to do the bit with the 'oh shit ridiculous number of Metal Gears' because Miri got chaingunned in the face a lot. Also, I discovered that Sprite tastes kinda nice.
And oh my god WE WOKE UP SO EARLY ON SATURDAY. 6 AM. 6 AM. ON A SATURDAY. I couldn't believe it. I did feel pretty awake though, considering the ridiculous amount of sleep I actually had. Sob. I just can't get over it. Anyway, we all got dressed up. I was Chie from P4, uhhh, most of the others didn't dress up. Michael left very early to help with stewarding. 6fuckingamwhy Oh, Miri was casual Lockon, without the eyepatch because she snapped the elastic like a boss. I didn't actually realise she'd put a wig on until I suddenly noticed that she was... brunette. Hah. And Shiro was Annette Birkin. We headed to Expo via the DLR and got there at 9 AM. I have never been there before 10 at the very earliest. Why. There was still a huge queue even with the early entry tickets. We had a good wander around and Miri was a very bad influence on me. I bought Ali al-Saachez's AEU custom Enact, a small figure of Lockon and also these cards for learning Japanese characters. Also I lent Laney my FMP DVDs though I nearly forgot because I DIDN'T ACTUALLY REALISE IT WAS LANEY which was. Silly of me.
We also found the P4 group outside and got some very nice pictures with them, with Teddie pimping and so on. My dumbass ex was in the Teddie suit. I was very tempted to kick him but I resisted, even though Shiro was egging me on :| We went back into the Expo and I made a right fool of myself. Several times. Sob. A-Anyway. I spent all day taking pictures of all the Weskers I could find. Apparently this is my 'jizzed in my pants' expression. Still, Michael jizzed in her pants at the Gundams we saw during the masquerade. I felt sorry for the people up there, the cheering was a bit pathetic. Probably because everyone had to wait FOR AGES outside while they got everything set up. At one point, I'd started resting my head on the chair in front of me and stopped paying attention to what was going on. Then Michael said, "Oh my god it's Wesker!" I went, "WHAT, WHERE???????" But then I noticed that there was no Wesker and said "FUCK. YOU" very loudly into the badly timed silence. We missed Doctor Who though.
Went back to Michael's and had a late night again. And another early morning on Sunday. Whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhy. I was Birkin that day, with Shiro as my wife~ And Michael was Shiva from... er, FFX? Something like that. Tyr was Havoc from... Command and Conquer, and Fel and Miri were ever so sexy zombies. Who loved cheap travel. We found dantes_girl as well, dressed as Claire Redfield. There's a few pictures of the zombies attacking various unfortunates, which can all be found in my photobucket album when I link that at the end. We found this kickass RE group (including the Wesker I found on Saturday, whose name was Troy. Michael has a hardon for him like you wouldn't believe). One of the Chrises was hilarious and we got some amazing pictures with those guys. We went into the carpark to get some. One of my favourites was this one of Annette and Claire. Oh and we found Psycho Mantis but my camera was being a whore and made the picture come out badly.
We saw the masquerade again and the cheering was still pathetic, but we got the biggest screaming going for a particular group. Three zombies came on stage, started to do Thriller and then got shot down by Chris with a GATLING GUN. I literally screamed "FUCK YEAH CHRIS" and the lot of us just whooped for ages. When he walked past afterwards, I yelled, "Chrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiisss!" after him. The awesome thing about this weekend is the way that I've made everyone a little Weskersexual. And Shiro brought sticky buns without having seen that one RE animation. I can't get over that. And then we mixed RE and Gundam 00 jokes and it was beautiful. Michael's mum cooked the most amazing Sunday dinner, it was delicious beyond belief. That night we stayed up stupidly late again after watching a ton of Gundam S2 and talking for ages about DDD stuff. Although I have a feeling I've mixed up the order of things a little bit. Oh well. The important thing is Ali ♥
Monday was an uneventful day. Watched more Gundam, cursed the London train system and got Chinese for dinner. Miri made fun of me by saying that my dream would be to have Wesker speaking Latin while playing the piano. He'd have to be playing Moonlight Sonata because oh god do I love that music.
And then I arrived home yesterday with all my stuff, which consisted of a free Lost Planet 2 t-shirt, free My-HiME DVD (what's that anime like, by the way, I've yet to watch it) and a free Dark Void figurine. And my 'chaff and wheat' t-shirt arrived. See here. Also saw the best Marmite advert ever.
So, I think that covers just about all of my very long weekend. All pictures are here, you can tell where they stop, I think. (Last May's pics are still at the end, haha.) Now I must concentrate on studying... M2 exam next Friday, along with Greek literature, I think.
Also, now I've mostly caught up on sleep, I must try and get to the tags I've not been able to do, there're those two meme threads and then hug virus which is massively backdated and I NEED TO REPLY TO AAAAAAAAH. OH YEAH AND MY S2 TORRENT IS FINISHED SO I CAN WATCH THE REST OF THAT.
