Bits and pieces

- Trying to get a new job that pays more/gives me benefits. I've made up a resume. There's an administrative assistant job opening at the company I work for now, so I'm going to try to move out of the warehouse and into that. Unfortunately my resume isn't too impressive, but maybe they'll go for it because they know I'm a hard worker and I'm already in the company so they don't have to go through a background check. I also sent in my resume to Aetna. It's only 20 hours a week (Mon-Fri 10-2) but it's $16-$20/hr, so I'd be making more a week than I do now, with less hours, plus, I could always get another part time job at night, and it would still be giving me experience for a full time job later on. I just really really need to be in a financially better place right now. It's really frustrating to work my ass off, for no money (I still haven't gotten my 3 month raise and I'm almost ready for my 6 month raise), and have what little money I do make go almost all to bills. I guess the only upside to that is that I can't afford my unhealthy habits anymore.

- Only 3 weeks left until I'm 21. I think my plans to go to a hotel or anything big are slowly diminishing away due to lack of funds, but I do have a 3 day weekend thanks to some paid vacation days I'm using, so hopefully I can just do some fun, inexpensive events that weekend (and get paid for it! the only good thing about my job situation right now) For my actual birthday I think my parents are taking Paul and I to the casino.

- There's definitely been a lot of ring talk coming from Paul lately. I know it really bothers him that we can't afford the rings we looked at before, but I've been trying to beat it into his head that I'd be fine with an inexpensive ring for the time being, and that we could save up for an expensive ring for an anniversary or something. My aunt said that she could get a nice ring for us for $200-$300, since I'm not looking for a big diamond. She works at a jewelry store so she see's everything that comes in, and that plus employee discount would mean a big difference.

- I also have to get my ass moving to fill out applications for new apartments, the ones I'm looking at, that I just helped Felicia move into, are beautiful, and there's a few months worth of a waiting list, so it might work out perfectly that our lease is up in April or May. I definitely need to get out of here. We are WAY overcharged, plus we have to pay utilities. I would be much happier knowing that we have a nicer apartment to come home too.
