I'm having lots of fun assuring the Thursday night writer's group that all sorts of things have smells. Money, of course. Fear, naturally. (How many times have you heard that "animals can smell fear"?) Last night, my latest foray into the smell of unusual things was hunger.
Oh yes, hunger has a smell. On Thanksgiving Day, help out or cook a Thanksgiving dinner, but no eating all day. No nibbles, no snibbles, no snacking or testing. Just before you sit down to dinner, take a deep smell. That's what hunger smells like :)
