Oooh your business sounds fabulous! Great concept, I love the name too! The only thing that I thought might work better is your slogan being "for your family, for your community, for your planet" only because I read somewhere about how using you and your makes your client more comfortable with your product. But that's just what popped to mind. Great site btw!
My business idea is a photography studio by the name of Beau Monde Photography (the site is not quite up yet though). Specializing in pin-up and boudoir photography and offering women the self esteem and confidence they deserve to have through a quality photoshoot. Annnnd I'll end my shpeil there haha.
I think it does vary from each area that it's offered in. I so wish they had just switched me over automatically to the SEB payments cause this whole EI thing is driving me nutso. Only four more weeks! *breathes deeply*
I really wish they did more quality control on the consultants/coaches. Seriously. There doesn't seem to be an inbetween. They're either awesome or totally useless. I know personally, if my coach is a slacker, I'm going to end up being a slacker too.
That sucks that you haven't gotten any feedback about your plan! I'd go with "no news is good news" on that one though. I mean, if it wasn't ok they would've cut the money off by now right?
That is an awesome idea for a business. Have you seen this site yet? It's pretty freaking fantastic, I think you will like it. I am really into vintage styles (although, had to ditch a few comms in lj due to eejits who think it's their personal fan club *cough* but I digress). I think a lot of women would love that, especially in the form of a gift certificate. I think that will do really well! I even love the shpiel!

I'm hoping women will love it because I'm sick and tired of hearing my friends go on about how not attractive they are when anyone but them can see the hotness. Seriously, give me one afternoon with some good pumps, a hot shade of lipstick and some scandalous clothing and I will make them see how sexy they can be!
Oh man I hear you about advertising. I'm anxious to just finish the plan so I can actually get working on the business! It's really felt like a drag to have to get the plan together when I could be marketing as I don't need any funding so I'll probably never use the business plan. But what can you do!
Ooh! Before I forget, it occured to me, have you thought of doing some sort of links page with other eco friendly products/businesses? I have a friend who has her own clothing line that is part of a cruelty free collective (no fur, leather, or products tested on animals) that perhaps you could do a banner/link exchange with. Just a suggestion, as I've had customers find me through some very random word of mouth!
I totally would, just not yet. I want to build up a client base before they think I am just a part of a link ring or something. I would love to see your friend's site though -- for my own personal needs :D
