holy crap an art journal!!! SURPRISE YALL I MAKE ART SOMETIMES
LET'S START WITH FINISHED PICTURES. This is Vera and Constance, two very important characters in my upcoming awesome comic, Empire State.

This is a Moebius Cover. yes that is Mary and yes she is pinching her nip
Now we're sort of moving in the direction of unfinished photoshop sketches. This one here is my first stab at totally bizarre colors, and I did it a little bit before the veins one up above.
This is Isaac and Vera! Vera was going to be my main character but since she became more and more creepy/villainous, I decided she was no longer sympathetic, so Isaac, her loyal steed and sidekick has been elected to tell the story she is too busy to tell. It's all about her.

Taylor and I were making a fantasy story that is somewhat nonsequitor and totally just all about prettiness, and this is one of the characters that I made, named Midha.

this is arlen and vera. arlen is a bit sneaky and not to be trusted. you can tell because of those teeth:

More Veras. I am aware these dresses were not in vogue but they are always in vogue to my lazy dress drawing
This is the part where Vera starts getting creepier?
She thinks she is good at everything. Alas, she is only good at most things.
This is the start of a lineup to get their body types aligned. There's more characters on the way, and then once I am done with them, I intend to draw a couple of costumes on each one so that there are at least three rows: unclothed, informal outfit, and formal outfit.
This is a picture of Isaac which I am actually in the midst of finishing.

This is Kostya(left) and Milena(right). They have the same occupation which is why they hang out sometimes but in my personal canon of my own canon, Milena tries to convince a skeptical Kostya to get off heroin and try out her rad and awesome strict regimen of a balanced diet of vegetables and protein and 3 hours of exercise every day and no drugs or alcohol. he doesn’t quite get the appeal
they both liked the same person and were both rejected boo hoo
it felt nice to do strictly black and white high contrast stuff again

AFTER AGES OF SLACKING, Ingrid and I are getting our butts back into gear on this comic that she is writing, and I am illustrating, which will be titled Stina! Not sure when it’ll be posted online, as we said before that it would seem like it would be in January, but haha.. ha. woops
In any event this is a concept for the Huldra, which is a very interesting figure in Scandinavian folklore- a sexy seductress type when under glamor, but without it, her back is revealed to be like that of a hollowed out tree. I have the option of going very far out and awesome with this one, so I definitely won’t stop here. I’m thinking also of reverting back to the wavy hair, though I like the blond-green type.
And this is Stina's official physiognomy!
And now we go into pencils. I will clue you in on a little secret: the gross lizard on the bottom is also Arlen
sometimes anatomy is not for me, but i like anyway
This sketch page contains the more recent picture of Isaac which is kinda starting to get very leyendeckerish, which i already complained about on my art tumblr but nobody told me to quit it, so my stories about good lookin people continue
