Nerd boy strikes again
You have no idea just how nerdy we are here at Casa Yayer. My wife is a programmer! Did you realize that? That's waaay up on the nerd status ladder, right up there with... uh... With? You know, I can't think of a higher nerd status, actually. It starts somewhere with console gamers, through pc gamers, local computer-kid, the office Excel wiz, tech support, web designers, ms network techs, hardware techs, unix techs and Programmers. Of course, I have a whole collection of lower levels, but I'm angsting about the lack of Prestige Nerdiness in my life, so I've started trying to learn programming. K continues to claim that it's what I should be doing for a job, and lately, after finally getting somewhere with these books, I'm beginning to think she's right.
Hence, we have conversations like:
M: "Will you look over this code that I wrote today? I don't understand why it doesn't work.
K: "Mmmkay. *sits down and starts going over the code*
M: "I'm not sure I need to initiate that string, and if I do, I'm not sure I can do it there."
K: "Apparently not, since you're only evaluating it in the first Case.
K&M: *both fall down laughing*
I just thought you all would find that amusing.
