Phew

I'm glad this work week is over. I'll just leave it at that. Next week might be better, who knows.

Today was a looong day in general, but lunch was Excellent (leftovers from last nights lasagna) and it is bloody well Friday. I put the parts on the mandolin, and tomorrow, with some luck, I'll get some assistance in doing the setup, and then it will be Finished, after about seven months of work. Before I started building this thing I couldn't BELIEVE that people kept saying that you couldn't get a decent mandolin for less than $1,000. Now I know why. I certainly have enjoyed the process though. More to come, no doubt. I've had dumber hobbies. Now you all need to start playing so I have someone to sell these suckers to. (Or should that be some suckers to sell these ones to?) It's not an entirely cheap hobby to be into, unless you can sell the finished product. Anyway. Enough of that. For tonight, that is.

We've had a very nicely quiet evening. We went out and had chinese food for dinner and have been lazing around at home since. K had a worse than average day in produce land, with allergy attacks and things, so she's asleep already and I'm... well. Journaling. Courtesy posted a question about 10 points of wisdom you've learned in life, and my mind is chewing away on that, so look out. Infinite depth and wisdom is about to emerge! The inner truths of the universe! The meaning of life! The final proof to the existance or non-existance of God! Or maybe just some pretentious rambling. Whatever comes first.

Off to walk ponderously in a Monty-Python-philosophers-soccer-match sort of way.
