Flowers! I love me some flowers in my outfits! My guilty pleasure is browsing through the floral clips at Claire's or Icing and getting a few hair flowers or the small little bouquet clips. Surprisingly, they work really well with my wardrobe and gives me just enough accent whenever I want something small in my hair. I also tend to get a bunch of doubles so I bought five of the strawberry kanzashis for my head, outfit, and bag! Other than that, I would say that about 25% of my floral headgear is handmade. ^_^

Speaking of handmade...with all the tiny flower clips that I buy, sometimes I get tired of putting multiple clips in my hair/clothes every time I wanted the look of multiple flowers. Not only that, I also found that I wanted to combine them somehow and be able to use them with other things. Solution? Why not make a frame like I did with my rosette brooch holder??

The biggest problem that I had was finding a way for the alligator clips to attach on to something securely. I didn't want them to be visible in the back so that if I were to move around a lot, they wouldn't jostle loose and be gone forever. So here's what I came up with! The two-way brooch has three places you can put in a flower clip. On the bottom is an extra space if I ever wanted to add a bow as an embellishment. Best part? This works for both alligator clips and bobby pins!

The clip in action! I decided that white flowers for the base would work for most colors and the leaves are arranged so that it'll give a background in case the flowers are a little sparse. What I love about this the most is the fact that it works well with just a minimum of two hair clips (granted, they have to be the bigger ones, but I think it's lovely all the same!). It's also fairly secure as the bottom jaw of the clips are wedged into the passages. Plus, it's got the added bonus of doubling as a hair clip or a pin. Yay for versatility!! =^.^=
